Individual solutions for your process
In chemical and pharmaceutical industries, our bottom outlet valves represent the link between reaction and storage vessels on one hand and connected piping systems on the other.
Their design is tied to the applicable standards on one hand, but also to the specific requirements within a system. The basic functions of bottom outlet valves are sealing and targeted emptying of the containers.
Like all plant components, bottom outlet valves must meet a number of different requirements, which are derived from the relevant regulations and customer-specific operating conditions. These include PED 2014/68/EU, FDA, TA-Luft, ATEX, main & connection dimensions, material selection, measurement and control technology, etc., to name just a few. Our long-standing proven bottom outlet valves, which was designed as a flexible construction box system, embodies our guiding principle of "functionality, safety and customer benefit" and is ideally suited to respond individually to the sometimes very specific requirements of our customers.
This was also the case in a specific case that required a bottom outlet valve to be equipped with a separate emergency opener, in addition to the pneumatic lifting drive that was provided. Normally, a separate emergency handwheel is used to manually open the bottom outlet valve in the event of a failure of the primary drive.
Since a stay within the premises was prohibited due to a possible danger, a controlled activity had to be provided for the emergency drive as well. This was carried out by means of an additional compressed air motor that is connected to a compressed air bottle outside the perimeter of the vehicle. If necessary, this is opened manually and ensures that the floor outlet is opened once without having to resort to the existing, sometimes also vulnerable, energy infrastructure.
All in all, we were able to offer our customers a tailor-made solution that combines proven properties of our floor drains at the same time.
- Highest functional safety and operational reliability
- Avoidance/reduction of dead spaces through the design of the matched components
- Easy to clean due to the low-dead space design of the housing, bellow, valve seat and flushing nozzle
- Easy to install and maintain, due to a significant lower weight and small dimensions of the drive
- Favorable benefit/cost ratio due to CIP-compliant design
- Modular principle for specific customer requirements with the possibility of retrofitting
