For demanding processes in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries
Our glass lined columns are designed for distillation, absorption and extraction processes, as well as for use as scrubber columns and reactor tubes. They are particularly suitable wherever aggressive, highly corrosive or sensitive media must be conveyed, separated or processed safely.
Each column is individually designed to match the process requirements and operating conditions. We supply glass lined columns with shell lengths of up to 4 metres. Depending on the nominal diameter, the individual shell sections are connected using loose flanges or profile rings with clamp bolts.
The glass lined surface provides outstanding long-term resistance to aggressive acids, alkalis and solvents. Product build-up is prevented, ensuring consistently high separation efficiency even after many operating cycles. The process medium remains free from contamination caused by the construction material – a decisive advantage for pharmaceutical production. Cleaning and product changeovers can be carried out without residue.
On request, we also supply the appropriate internal components, including support rings, perforated plates, inlet pipes, liquid distributors and other internals. Our portfolio also includes column shells, column sumps, coalescing vessels, separators and accessories. Existing equipment can also be re-glass lined. Depending on the application, we use different enamel grades – from the universally applicable email800, email850P specially developed for the pharmaceutical industry, email350 for applications up to 150 °C, through to the highly abrasion-resistant emailABR60.
Every column undergoes comprehensive testing in accordance with DIN, ISO, factory standards and customer-specific specifications. TÜV inspection can be provided on request, ensuring a high level of certified safety. For complex process engineering equipment, we support the entire project – from the quotation and concept phase through engineering, manufacturing and assembly to long-term after-sales support.
