The absolute hardness of fire, water, air and earth

Our technical enamels are made from quartz, silicates, borax, lime, soda, saltpeter and metal oxides melted at 1,400 °C. It is the particular mixing ratios of the basic substances that determine the properties of the enamel, such as resistance to aggressive media, mechanical strength etc.

Technical enamel is therefore a very special surface protection that is used for plants in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries.

Highly acid resistant enamel for chemical and pharmaceutical industries

email800 is the premium quality of our technical enamels. It is distinguished by its maximum resistance and service life time when carrying aggressive media.

  • enamel color: dark blue or white
  • thickness: in accordance with DIN EN ISO 28721-1 or 4
  • high voltage test at 20,000 volts
  • special conditions possible (16 bar, -60 °C to +260 °C)

Special surface variants for the pharmaceutical industry

email850P combines improved surface properties, optimized corrosion properties and biologically neutral behavior in pharmaceutical processes. The optimal surface properties of email850P make it considerably easier to clean than the stainless steels 316 L currently used.

  • enamel color: light blue
  • coating thickness: in accordance with DIN EN ISO 28721-1 or 4
  • high voltage test at 20,000 volts
  • special conditions possible (16 bar, -60 °C to +260 °C)

email800 bi-color

Additional security through monitoring

In difficult environmental conditions, over time the enamel layers wear down, so the coating layer diminishes. email800 bi-color ‘monitors’ the current condition with a white layer of paint, which provides a visual warning signal under the blue enamel layer.  The white layer is as corrosion resistant as the blue email800.

If the blue enamel layer wears down, the white layer shows. This offers security and enough time to replace the corroded part.  

In processes with heavy demands (eg. with high levels of corrosion), monitoring plays an essential role in the plant’s operational safety. email800 bi-color is decisive here because the visual corrosion signal means that time-consuming checks on the enamel coating thickness are not necessary.

glass lined pipe system for aggressive exhaust air and waste water

This type of enamel is applied in a thinner layer thickness of 0.4 mm - 0.6 mm. This make it a very cost-effective solution that still offers very high resistance to chemicals. Its low weight also makes assembly much easier.

  • enamel color: dark blue
  • layer thickness: 0.4 - 0.6 mm
  • use in temperatures of -10 °C to +200 °C
  • high voltage testing with 5,000 volts
  • wall thickness 3 - 4 mm

email350

The cost effective alternative to plastic linings

email350 can also be used in temperatures up to 150 °C. The comparatively low cost makes these enamels a resistant alternative to pipe systems with plastic lining.

  • enamel color: white
  • coating layer 0.6 - 0.8 mm
  • use in temperatures of -10 °C to +150 °C
  • high voltage testing with 10,000 volts

emailABR60

Extreme hardness for extreme demands

emailABR60 offers the ideal combination of chemical resistance and high abrasion resistance. This enamel is typically used in areas of process engineering where solid particles are carried as part of corrosive media and at high temperatures.

  • enamel color: dark blue
  • hardness grade: 6 Mohs
